I reached out for Jek and caught his arm. He nearly pulled away and wheeled on me instead. Fury welled in him at the mention of Morgus.
“Please, Jek…” I couldn’t think of words fast enough.
“You think you can keep her here against her will and imagine yourself better than your archenemy?” The Doctor lanced. I wished he would just shut up and let me handle things.
“I…” Jek started to face the Doctor, but I pulled on his arm again.
“Jek, listen to me,” I pleaded, “Can you help the Doctor?”
“I had the android bring enough milk for two, just in case.”
